Supporting accessibility and wellbeing through community partnerships
Finding moments of calm and quiet in a busy world can make a meaningful difference to our overall wellbeing. At Power Yoga Collective, we believe yoga should feel approachable—physically, mentally, and financially—so more people can experience the benefits of consistent movement, breath, and recovery.
Over the past year, we had the opportunity to collaborate with a regional transit rewards program with a shared goal: helping more people access yoga as a tool for balance, strength, and stress relief. Partnerships like this allowed us to welcome new students into our studios and into our online community—many of whom were trying yoga for the very first time.
What we learned from the partnership
-
Reducing barriers matters. When wellness feels easier to start, more people take the first step.
-
Consistency creates change. Students who built a routine—whether in-studio or at home—reported feeling stronger, calmer, and more grounded.
-
Community is a powerful motivator. Practicing alongside others helps people stay committed and feel supported.
Why yoga continues to be worth prioritizing
Yoga supports your whole system—body and mind. Regular practice can help improve flexibility, strength, posture, and resilience, while also supporting relaxation and stress reduction. Whether you’re coming in to sweat, to recover, or to reset mentally, yoga offers a sustainable way to care for yourself.
